Jan Rothuizen illustrations are a joy and last month on a Thursday morning i was triggered by one he did on the Sculpture garden of the Kroller Muller museum. The drawings overflow with detail, have a signature of their own and should be shared and known worldwide. He is unique in his drawings and the approach of his subjects. Just look at this drawing he made of the Kroller Muller museum ( Museum Kroller Muller catalogues are available at www.ftn-books.com )
follow rothuyizen at his site or the Volkskrant site:
These pages with the daily blogs on “books and art” needed some changes. I had to give the “Piet Dirkx daily” a more prominent spot, the place it deserves and made a new and better focus on FTN art . I found a better template and layout and because of that the items which are for sale are far more easy to access. A search option for blog and art is now included in a much better place.
The new blog site will be changed and adjusted in the coming weeks. I have to find out what works best and how to make it better, but for the moment ….enjoy!
PS. I am sorry if i published some test versions and you were wrongly notified for the new blogs published.
Today is another milestone for me as a bookdealer in art books, because today i started on these pages ………FTN art

Last Tuesday we visited once again the studio of Eja Siepman van den Berg. In the gallery we visited an excellent and beautiful exhibition by Aubertin, Schad and the sculptures of Eja and to complete it …..a fantastic surprise lunch. We were joined by Roland Janssen and discussed the possibilities of presenting some of the statues on our site which will soon be live. Yes ,within a few weeks http://www.ftn-art.com will be “live”. Including a selection of the sculptures by Eja Siepman van den Berg. To get some impression of the sculptures that will be presented and which are for sale we made a pre selection of 3 sculptures. Any purchase of these sculptures will be accompanied by me personally and i will escort you to the studio of Eja Siepman van den Berg to meet the artist and show you the other works by Eja Siepman van den Berg. Not the most likely location to find these great artists all together within the same exhibition space with a small but excellent group presentation, but because of the recent initiative to start in Beetsterzwaag ,PROJECTRUIMTE HOOFDSTRAAT 17, it was possible to present Bernard Aubertin, Robert Schad and Eja Siepman van den Berg all together in the same space.
If you travel the north of the Netherlands/ Friesland, do not hesitate to visit Beetsterzwaag. A picturesque small dutch village between Leeuwarden and Heerenveen ( have lunch at HET AMBACHT..it is great) and visit Projektruimte Hoofdstraat 17. I have heard that the next exhibition will be on Armando and will let you know when this starts.
