These pages with the daily blogs on “books and art” needed some changes. I had to give the “Piet Dirkx daily” a more prominent spot, the place it deserves and made a new and better focus on FTN art . I found a better template and layout and because of that the items which are for sale are far more easy to access. A search option for blog and art is now included in a much better place.
The new blog site will be changed and adjusted in the coming weeks. I have to find out what works best and how to make it better, but for the moment ….enjoy!
PS. I am sorry if i published some test versions and you were wrongly notified for the new blogs published.
Two reasons to write a new blog on Eja Siepman van den Berg. The first and most important reason is that Eja won the pertigious price for sculpture : the WILHELMINA RING Sculpture prize
Eja Siepman van den Berg is laureate of the 2017 Wilhelmina Ring Sculpture Prize
The Wilhelmina Ring is a biennial oeuvre award, awarded to leading Dutch sculptors; it is one of the most important art prizes in the Netherlands.
Eja Siepman van den Berg is the 2017 laureate of the Wilhelmina Ring, consisting of a ring designed for the occasion, of a commissioned sculpture for the municipal park and an accompanying exhibition at Museum CODA, both in the city of Apeldoorn.
With this award, Eja Siepman van den Berg finds herself in the company of esteemed winners such as Joost Beljon, Joep van Lieshout, Jan van Munster, Carel Visser, Hans van Houwelingen, and Auke de Vries, among others
The second is that she recently launched a completely new which you can visit over here: http://www.ejasiepmanvandenberg.com
Another and exciting small exhibition to be opened in Projectruimte Hoofdstraat 17 has just been announced . 3 artists will be presented in conjunction which each other. The homebase of Eja Siepman van den Berg gives room to 2 other artists. This time Riki Mijling and Armando will be the guests. Mijling is the least known of these three, but works are present in the most important and prestigious collections, Caldic, DSM , Zadelhoff and the British museum among them. Armando needs no introduction and is known for his participation in the NUL and Informelen mouvements. Personally i think his Berlin years are his strongest period with the beautiful and impressive Fahnen and Tree paintings. And last there are the sculptures by Eja Siepman van den Berg. Each time i visit the Projectruimte Hoofdstraat 17 i notice how excellent they blend with the works by the other artists. An exhibition to visit in the coming months.
Opening on the 27th of November 2016 and closing on Sunday 26th of February 2017.
Last Tuesday we visited once again the studio of Eja Siepman van den Berg. In the gallery we visited an excellent and beautiful exhibition by Aubertin, Schad and the sculptures of Eja and to complete it …..a fantastic surprise lunch. We were joined by Roland Janssen and discussed the possibilities of presenting some of the statues on our site which will soon be live. Yes ,within a few weeks www.ftn-art.com will be “live”. Including a selection of the sculptures by Eja Siepman van den Berg. To get some impression of the sculptures that will be presented and which are for sale we made a pre selection of 3 sculptures. Any purchase of these sculptures will be accompanied by me personally and i will escort you to the studio of Eja Siepman van den Berg to meet the artist and show you the other works by Eja Siepman van den Berg. Not the most likely location to find these great artists all together within the same exhibition space with a small but excellent group presentation, but because of the recent initiative to start in Beetsterzwaag ,PROJECTRUIMTE HOOFDSTRAAT 17, it was possible to present Bernard Aubertin, Robert Schad and Eja Siepman van den Berg all together in the same space.
If you travel the north of the Netherlands/ Friesland, do not hesitate to visit Beetsterzwaag. A picturesque small dutch village between Leeuwarden and Heerenveen ( have lunch at HET AMBACHT..it is great) and visit Projektruimte Hoofdstraat 17. I have heard that the next exhibition will be on Armando and will let you know when this starts.
