Some twelve years ago, my son Lucas and I had the privilege of visiting Ossip in his studio for a fourth time—an experience that has remained vivid in our memories ever since.
From the moment we arrived, it felt as though we had stepped into another world. The studio was much more than a workspace; it was a universe of imagination, creativity, and wonder. Every corner seemed to tell a story. Paintings, sculptures, sketches, and objects collected over a lifetime of artistic exploration surrounded us, creating an atmosphere that felt almost magical.
Ossip welcomed us warmly and generously opened the doors to his wonderful world of art. With enthusiasm and curiosity, he guided us through his creations, sharing the ideas, inspirations, and dreams behind them. Lucas, still young at the time, wandered through the studio with wide eyes, discovering treasures wherever he looked. I remember how Ossip encouraged that sense of wonder, making us both feel that art was not merely something to be observed, but something to be experienced.
What made the visit truly unique was the setting itself. The magical surroundings seemed to blur the line between reality and imagination. Light filtered through the studio in unexpected ways, illuminating artworks and objects as if they were part of a living story. For a few hours, we were transported into a place where creativity reigned and possibilities seemed endless.
Today, as I share the photographs I took during that memorable visit, I do so in remembrance of Ossip. The image captures more than a moment in time—it recalls his artistic spirit, and the extraordinary world he created around him. It reminds me of a special day shared with Lucas, and of an artist whose vision transformed a simple studio visit into an unforgettable journey.
Thank you, Ossip, for welcoming us into your magical world. Your art, your kindness, and your inspiration continue to live on in our memories.
