Her images operate through a striking dualism. Frequently depicted as a fading apparition amidst crumbling interior spaces, Woodman might be found wedged into wooden crevices, camouflaged by decaying wall coverings, or transformed into a lingering, kinetic blur through lengthened exposure. When other individuals appear in her work, they function only as abstract symbols, serving as extensions of her own splintered identity.
